Update: Corrections to taxonomy data accessed via the NEON API samples endpoint

The samples endpoint issue described in a previous post has been resolved. Resolution of impacts to NEON Biorepository records is in progress.
Queries to the of the NEON API now return correct taxonomy data for bulk samples. The on the NEON web portal also now returns correct data. An update is in progress for NEON Biorepository collection records. After Biorepository updates are complete, occurrence records at the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) will also be updated. We will post another update here once this process is complete.
