CI Compass Virtual Workshop Jan 2025

The data lifecycle for a majority of the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) Major and Mid-scale Facilities starts with data acquisition and capture from scientific instrument(s), e.g. telescopes, sensors, field devices, spectrometers, accelerators, interferometers, magnets, lasers, to name a few. Quite often, the data acquisition step and the associated data management practices at the facility to capture this initial data dictate the effectiveness of the latter parts of the data lifecycle.

Workshop at ESA 2024: Explore and Work with Continental-Scale Biodiversity Data Using the ecocomDP R package

Attending the ESA 2024 Meeting this August in Long Beach? Join us for a workshop on working with biodiversity data!

North Dakota Wildlife Society Conference: Download & Explore NEON Data Workshop

In this workshop, NEON scientists will lead participants through the NEON website and NEON data portal to learn about NEON's online educational resources and how to download data.

NEON Aquatic Biodiversity Workshop - SFS 2024

NSF Workshop: Building Bridges to Use-Inspired Research and Science-Informed Practices

"The Directorate of Biological Sciences (BIO), the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), and the Directorate for Technology, Innovation, and Partnerships (TIP) at the National Science Foundation have jointly funded a workshop that aims to build new connections among key BioSci communities to successfully conduct 鈥楿se-inspired Research鈥.

Integrating Organismal Biology into NEON RCN Workshop

The NEON RCN is an NSF Research Coordination Network whose goal is to increase the number of organismal biologists working with NEON data or at NEON sites.

This workshop will be held late June 2023 at Archbold Biological Station in the headwaters of the Everglades, Florida.

Find updates and learn more on the RCN webpage:

Hacking Limnology 2023

"The grass-root network DSOS (Data Science and Open Science) and AEMON-J (Aquatic Ecosystem MOdeling Network - Junior) are joining forces this year to organize a 3rd 'Virtual Summit: Incorporating Data Science and Open Science in Aquatic Research' that includes fascinating presentations about aquatic research including open data and open science approaches, and multiple days of exciting workshops that include state-of-the-art keynote talks with live hands-on coding exercises.

2023 Unidata Users Workshop

The Unidata Users Committee invites you to join Unidata staff, community members, and guests for a community workshop to take place in 5-8 June 2023 as a hybrid (in-person and/or virtual) event hosted in Boulder, Colorado.
